Procedure: Removing and replacing lid of a node canister

To remove the lid of a node canister, which might be necessary to service a node canister or replace a FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) that is contained within the canister, use this procedure.

To remove a canister lid:

1. Place the node canister upside down on a work surface, with the release levers facing you.
2. Open the cover of the canister by depressing the recessed, blue touch points on the lid and sliding the lid away from you as shown in Removing the canister cover .

To replace a canister lid, slide the canister lid onto the canister until the catch clicks and the lid edges are flush with the canister.
