Configuring settings for the EMC VMAX
A number of settings and options are available through the EMC VMAX configuration interface.
The settings and options can have the following scope:
System
Port
Logical unit (LU)
Global settings for the EMC VMAX
Global settings apply across the EMC VMAX systems.
Port settings for the EMC VMAX
Target port characteristics can be set by using the
set port
command from the Symmetrix Command-Line Interface (SYMCLI).
Logical unit settings for the EMC VMAX
Logical unit (LU) settings are configurable at the LU level.
Fibre-specific flag settings for the EMC VMAX
Fibre-specific flag settings for the EMC VMAX are provided in this section.
Mapping settings for the EMC VMAX
On the EMC VMAX, you can map a logical unit (LU) to a host.
Volume Logix and masking
Volume Logix is used to restrict access to particular WWPNs on the fabric for Symmetrix Volumes.
