Removing an adapter

Use this information to remove an adapter.

To remove an adapter, complete the following steps:

1. Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords.
3. Remove the cover (see Removing the cover).
4. Disconnect any cables from the adapter.
5. Grasp the riser-card assembly at the rear edge and lift to remove the riser-card assembly.
6. Place the riser-card assembly on a flat, static-protective surface.
7. Carefully grasp the adapter by its top edge or upper corners, and pull the adapter from the riser-card assembly.

If you are instructed to return the adapter, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
