Removing a hot-swap fan - Lenovo System x3550 M4

Use this information to remove a hot-swap fan.

Attention: To ensure proper server operation, replace a failed hot-swap fan within 30 seconds.

To remove a hot-swap-fan, complete the following steps:

Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
Remove the cover (see Removing the cover).
Press the handle while grasping the orange fan tabs on both ends of the existing fan and pulling it up out of the server.

If you are instructed to return the fan, follow all of the packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
