Partitioning the Lenovo Storage V7000 system disk

Use this information when you set up Lenovo Storage V7000 disk partitions.

Before you create a file system, partition the disk by using the fdisk utility. You have to specify the special device file of the disk you want to partition when you run fdisk. Figure 1 shows an example of the different options for the fdisk utility.
Note: If you are using the subsystem device driver (SDD), your path in the example is /dev/vpathb instead of /dev/sdb.

Note: If you are using the SDD, your path in the example is /dev/vpathb instead of /dev/sdb.
