P2000 has no zoning limitations.
The HP P2000 G3 systems present themselves by default to a Lenovo Storage V7000 system as a single controller with a WWPN for each port that is zoned to Lenovo Storage V7000. For example, if one of these storage systems has four ports that are zoned to Lenovo Storage V7000, each port appears as controller with four WWPNs.
A given logical unit (LU) must be mapped to Lenovo Storage V7000 through all controller ports that are zoned to Lenovo Storage V7000 by using the same logical unit number (LUN).
The controller must be separately zoned to Lenovo Storage V7000 ports for exclusivity requirements.
For robustness, each HP P2000 G3 controller fabric zone to all the Lenovo Storage V7000 backend ports contains at least one HP P2000 G3storage system port from each controller.
The HP P2000 G3storage system supports LUN masking to enable multiple servers to access separate LUNs through a common controller port. Lenovo Storage V7000 should have exclusive access to the controller.
Host splitting is not to be used. Lenovo Storage V7000 should have exclusive access to the controller.
Performance issues might be caused by splitting controllers. Configure so that Lenovo Storage V7000 has exclusive access to the controller. This configuration is especially important as the default mapping is to all hosts. Explicit mapping is preferred but not essential with the exclusive use by Lenovo Storage V7000. Lenovo Storage V7000 is not aware of any other use of the controller and might saturate it.
