You must configure the VMware operating system and the guest operating system
before you can connect hosts that run a VMware platform with the
system.
Before you configure the host operating systems, the following tasks must be completed:
- Your system must be installed.
- You must install the appropriate host bus adapters.
After the prerequisite tasks are complete, use the following general steps to configure
your host.
- Define the host with the worldwide port name identifiers. You must locate the list of worldwide
port names.
- Define the Fibre Channel port configuration if it was not done during the
installation of the system
or the Fibre Channel adapters.
- Configure the host for the system by using the instructions in your VMware and guest
operating system publications.
