You can enable IPv6 support on a host in VMware 4.0 or later.
Complete the following steps to enable IPv6 support in VMware 4.0 or
later:
- From the vSphere Client screen, select the Configuration tab.
- Click Networking.
- Click Properties.
- Click Enable IPv6 support on this host,
and then click OK.
IPv6 support
is enabled when you restart VMware.
- Optional: To complete IPv6 discovery and login functions, open the vSphere Client.
- Select the Configuration tab.
- Click Networking, and then click
the vSwitch.
- Click Properties.
- Click Service Console and click Edit.
- Click the IP Settings tab.
- Enter your IP values, and then click OK.
