You must configure the Microsoft
Hyper-V operating system and the guest operating system before you connect hosts that are running
the Microsoft Hyper-V operating system with the
system.
Before you configure the host operating systems, the following tasks must be completed:
- The IBM service representative must install
the system.
- You must install the appropriate host bus adapters.
After
the prerequisite tasks are complete, use the following
general steps to configure your host system.
- Define the host with the worldwide port name (WWPN) identifiers. You must locate the list of
WWPNs.
- Define the Fibre Channel port configuration if it was not done during the
installation of the system
or the Fibre Channel adapters.
- Configure the host for the system by using the instructions in your Microsoft Hyper-V and guest operating system publications.
