Oracle hosts

Fibre Channel attachments between the system and an Oracle host that is running the Solaris (SPARC or x86) operating system require that you follow certain instructions and guidelines.

When you attach the system to Oracle hosts, consider these requirements.
Installing the HBA on an Oracle host
The first step in attaching the Oracle host is to install the host bus adapter (HBA).
Installing the HBA driver
After you install the host bus adapter (HBA) into the host machine, you must download and install the appropriate HBA driver.
Configuring the HBA on an Oracle host
After you install the HBAs and driver on your Oracle host, you configure the host bus adapters (HBAs).
Configuring the Solaris operating system
You must configure the Solaris operating system before you can use Oracle hosts with the system.
