Explanation
The
lspotentialarraysize command fails when its
drivecount parameter is less than its
stripewidth parameter.
The number of drives in the array must be an integer from 3 - 128. The stripe width varies per
RAID type:
- RAID
- Stripe width
- R1
- 2-16
- R5
- 3-16
- R6
- 5-16
- R10
- Even integers from 2-16

to or greater than the stripe width.
