25 Gbps Ethernet link failures

When a failure occurs on a single 25 Gbps Ethernet link, the OM3 cable or the small form-factor pluggable 28 (SFP28) transceiver might need to be replaced.

The following items can indicate that a single Fibre Channel link failed.

Attempt each of these actions, in the following order, until the failure is fixed.

  1. Ensure that the OM3 cable is securely connected at each end.
  2. Replace the OM3 cable.
  3. Replace the SFP28 transceiver for the failing port on the node.
Note: The system supports both RoCE and iWARP 25 Gbps Ethernet SFP28 transceivers. You must replace an SFP28 transceiver with the same type of SFP28 transceiver.
  4. Replace the 25 Gbps Ethernet adapter in the node canister.
Note:  The system supports both RoCE and iWARP 25 Gbps Ethernet adapters. You must replace an adapter with the same type of adapter.
  5. Contact Remote Technical Support for assistance in replacing the node canister.
