Updating hardware options

Thesystem hardware can be updated with options installed during the initial installation or at another time.

Depending on the options you purchased, thesystem hardware may need to be updated during the initial installation. The particular hardware update may also require a softwareupdate to enable the hardware functionality.

Hardware update options

Hardware update options for thesystem include the following:

Expansion enclosures (includes 2 expansion canisters)
SAS cables for connecting the control and expansion enclosures
A sufficient number of drives required to populate an array configuration, plus any additions to increase the spare ratio. All drives should be installed before reconfiguring

Most updates can be done concurrently while the system remains operational if there are redundant components. Refer to the specific hardware installation instructions for details.
