Use the rmhostcluster command to remove a host cluster.
Syntax
rmhostcluster { [ -removeallhosts ] | [ -removemappings ] | [ -keepmappings ] } { hostcluster_id | hostcluster_name }
Parameters
- -removeallhosts
- (Optional) Specifies the deletion of all hosts and the associated host cluster object.
- -removemappings
- (Optional) Specifies that the host cluster object being removed from the host cluster not use
the host cluster's shared volume mappings. The mappings are deleted before the host cluster is
deleted.
- -keepmappings
- (Optional) Specifies that the host cluster object removed from the host cluster retains the host
cluster shared volume mappings (which become private mappings).
- hostcluster_id | hostcluster_name
- (Required) Specifies (by ID or name) the host cluster that the host cluster object is removed
from. The value for the ID must be a number and the value for the name must be an alphanumeric
string.
Description
This command removes a host cluster.
Note: This command deletes the associated host
cluster throttle if that host cluster is removed.
The -removeallhosts, -keepmappings, and
-removemappings parameters are mutually exclusive.
An invocation example that removes host cluster hostcluster0 and any related
hosts
rmhostcluster -removeallhosts hostcluster0

The hosts that are removed keep the shared mappings from the host cluster as private
