Switch zoning configurations for the MSA2000 system include considerations for fabric zoning, target port sharing, host splitting, and controller splitting.
Each Lenovo Storage V series switch zone must include at least one target port from each controller to have no single point of failure. This means, for example, that the zone on the first fabric has Port 0 MSA Controller A with Port 1 of MSA Controller B and the Lenovo Storage V series ports. The zone on the second fabric has Port 0 MSA Controller B and Port 1 MSA Controller A and the Lenovo Storage V series ports. For more information about the Fibre Channel dual-fabric setup, see the relevant MSA documentation.
Target ports may not be shared between Lenovo Storage V series and other hosts.
A single host must not be connected to Lenovo Storage V series and an MSA2000 system simultaneously.
MSA2000 system LUNs must be mapped only to the Lenovo Storage V series clustered system. The four target ports are all required for dual SAN-fabric connections and cannot be shared.
