Accessing PDF files

Some of the common documents in this section and product-specific documents in the Information Centers are available as PDF files that you can view, print, or save.

Downloading Adobe Acrobat Reader

You need Adobe Acrobat Reader, or another application that displays PDF files, to view or print the PDF files. You can download a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.

Viewing and printing PDF files

Click on the PDF link in a topic to view or print it.

If the file does not open in your browser, or you do not see an Open button on the dialog window that displays when you click a PDF, you might have to associate Adobe Acrobat Reader with the PDF file extension. Use the operating system or browser help to create the association or install the appropriate browser plug in.

Saving PDF files

You can also save a PDF file for offline viewing. To save a PDF file, complete the following steps:
  1. Right-click the link to the PDF in your browser.
  2. Choose the option to save the PDF file.
  3. Navigate to the directory in which you want to save the PDF file.
  4. Click Save or OK.
