Removing the PCI riser-card assembly

To remove the PCI riser-card assembly, do the following:

1. Turn off the server. Then, disconnect all external cables and remove all peripheral devices.
2. Remove the server cover. See Removing the server cover.
3. Grasp the blue tabs on the PCI riser-card assembly and lift the PCI riser-card assembly to release it from the chassis.

4. Disconnect any cables from the adapters on the PCI riser-card assembly.
5. Remove the adapter from the PCI riser-card assembly. See Removing an adapter.
6. Place the PCI riser-card assembly on a flat, static-protective surface.
7. Install the PCI riser-card assembly. See Installing the PCI riser-card assembly.
