Viewing and updating license settings using the CLI

You can use the command-line interface (CLI) to view and update your license settings.

Lenovo Storage V7000 provides two license options: Physical Disk Licensing and Capacity Licensing. To view and update your Lenovo Storage V7000 license settings:

Lenovo Storage V7000 provides enclosure licensing. You can view and update your license settings:

Issue the lslicense CLI command to view the current license settings for the clustered system (system).
Issue the chlicense CLI command to change the licensed settings of the system.
Attention:
- License settings are entered when the system is first created; do not update the settings unless you have changed your license.
- To select Physical Disk Licensing, run the chlicense command with one or more of the physical_disks, physical_flash, and physical_remote parameters.
- To select Capacity Licensing, run the chlicense command with one or more of the -flash, -remote, and -virtualization parameters. If the physical disks value is nonzero, these parameters cannot be set.
