Multipathing configuration maximums for System p and BladeCenter JS hosts

When you configure, keep in mind the maximum configuration for the subsystem device driver (SDD) on System p and BladeCenter JS hosts that are running the Linux operating system.

Table 1 provides the maximum volumes and paths per volume for SDD on hosts running the Linux operating system.

Object Maximum Description
Volumes 256 The maximum number of volumes that can be supported by Linux (per host object).
Paths per volume 4 The maximum number of paths to each volume.
