Configuring the VMware operating system

You must configure the VMware operating system and the guest operating system before you can connect hosts that run a VMware platform with the system.

Before you configure the host operating systems, the following tasks must be completed:
After the prerequisite tasks are complete, use the following general steps to configure your host.
  1. Define the host with the worldwide port name identifiers. You must locate the list of worldwide port names.
  2. Define the Fibre Channel port configuration if it was not done during the installation of the system or the Fibre Channel adapters.
  3. Configure the host for the system by using the instructions in your VMware and guest operating system publications.
