The serial number that is presented by the command-line interface (CLI) and the management GUI for the system is the serial number of the device.
The serial numbers can be viewed on your storage system. If the serial numbers are not displayed, the worldwide node name (WWNN) or worldwide port name (WWPN) is displayed. The WWNN or WWPN can be used to identify the different storage systems.
To view the serial number in the management GUI, click . Using the CLI, you can identify the serial number by running the svcinfo lscontroller controller_id | controller_name command.
