The system maintains a number of log files and trace files that can be used to manage
your system and diagnose problems.
The following files are maintained:
- Event log
- Contains event information; each event is time-stamped.
- Configuration log
- Contains configuration information.
- Input/output (I/O) statistic log
- Contains I/O statistics that are collected over certain intervals.
- I/O trace log
- Contains a record of I/O operations that are collected over certain intervals.
- License log
- Contains a record of events that are related to the license settings.
- Software dump
- Contains information about system memory and software.
- CIMOM log
- Contains a record of events that are related to the CIM object manager (CIMOM).
