Explanation
This error was reported because a large number of disk error recovery procedures were run by the
disk controller.The
problem is probably caused by a failure of some other component on the system.
User Response
- View the event log entry and determine the disk that was being accessed when the problem was
detected.
- Complete the disk controller problem determination and repair procedures for the disk that was
identified in step 1.
- Complete
problem determination and repair procedures for any Fibre Channel (FC) switches connected to the
system and any other FC network components.
- If any problems are found and resolved in steps 2 and 3, mark
this error as "fixed".
- If no switch or disk controller failures were found in steps 2 and 3, collect an event log dump
file, and then contact IBM Support Center.
- Go to the repair verification MAP.
