Explanation

The Ethernet ports on all nodes in the system or specified I/O group must be in an online state before a backend controller discovery can be initiated through the port. The port can be in one of the following states:
unconfigured
No iSCSI address is assigned to the port.
configured
An IP address is assigned to the port.

Use the management GUI or the lsportip command to identify the Ethernet port on the unconfigured node whose source port ID you specified for discovery. Use the management GUI or the cfgportip command to assign an IP address of the required type (IPv4 or IPv6). Ensure that all required node Ethernet ports are in an online state before you restart discovery.
