Power supply units

Each control enclosure contains two power supply units. Each power supply unit can provide power to the whole enclosure.

Each AC power supply unit contains the components that are shown in Components of the AC power supply unit. Each power supply also contains fans that cool the enclosure. Cool air is drawn in through the front of the enclosure. The air passes over the drives, node canisters, and power supplies. The warmed air is ejected through the rear of each power supply. For optimal cooling, do not obstruct the airflow and ensure that all enclosure components or fillers are installed while the system is operational.

Note: The power supply does not have a power switch. A power supply is active when a power cord is connected to the power connector 4 and to a power source.
