Managing hosts

You can use several tools to manage hosts, including the management GUI, the command-line interface (CLI), and specialized utilities for working with host bus adapters. To work with hosts in the management GUI, select Hosts.

Adding VVol-enabled ESXi hosts
After VMware vSphere Virtual Volumes are enabled on the system, you need to define ESXi hosts that are enabled for Virtual Volumes on the system.
Recording WWPN changes of replaced host HBAs
You can use the command-line interface (CLI) to record a change to a defined host object.
Restoring the default settings for an Emulex HBA
You can use the Emulex BIOS Utility menu to restore the default settings for an Emulex host bus adapter (HBA).
Restoring the default settings for a QLogic HBA
You can use the Fast!UTIL menu to restore the default settings for a QLogic host bus adapter (HBA).
Managing throttles for hosts
You can create, modify, and remove throttles for hosts by using the management GUI or the command-line interface.
