The LUN discovery method that you must use depends on the type of host
bus adapter (HBA) that your Oracle host uses.
Use the
following instructions to discover new LUNs:- JNI HBAs
- Run /opt/JNIC146x/jni_update_drv
-ar to
initiate an HBA driver process to check for new LUNs.
- Run devfsadm
-C -v to rebuild the device's
file system.
- Emulex
HBAs
Note: Emulex HBAs automatically discover new LUNs.
Run
devfsadm
-C -v to rebuild the device's file system.
- QLogic HBAs
Note: QLogic
HBAs automatically discover new LUNs.
Run
devfsadm
-C -v to rebuild the device's file system.
