1130: The node battery requires replacing.

Explanation

When a battery must be replaced, you get this message. The proper response is to install new batteries.

User Response

Battery 1 is on the left (from the front), and battery 2 is on the right. Remove the old battery by disengaging and pulling down the cam handle to lever out the battery enough to pull the battery from the enclosure.

This service procedure is intended for a failed or offline battery. To prevent losing data from a battery that is online, run the svctask chnodebattery -remove -batterybattery_ID node_ID. Running the command verifies when it is safe to remove the battery.

Install new batteries in battery slot 1 and in battery slot 2. Leave the node running as you add the batteries.

Align each battery so that the guide rails in the enclosure engage the guide rail slots on the battery. Push the battery firmly into the battery bay until it stops. The cam on the front of the battery remains closed during this installation.

To verify that the new battery works correctly, check that the node error is fixed. After the node joins a clustered system, use the lsnodebattery command to view information about the battery.
