1 Gbps Ethernet host interface adapter ports and indicators

Optional 1 Gbps Ethernet host interface adapters can be added tosystems.

The optional 1 Gbps iSCSI 4-port host interface adapter can be installed in the node canister of any system. The host interface adapter is used for iSCSI connections to host systems. The ports cannot be used for system management.

1 Gbps Ethernet host interface adapter ports

The adapter has four RJ45 ports for connection to an Ethernet network using Cat 5 or Cat 6 cables. The ports (1) are named Ethernet ports 3 to 6, from left to right.

1 1 Gbps Ethernet ports (x4)–named 3 through 6
2 Link speed (x4–one for each port)
3 Activity (x4–one for each port)

1 Gbps Ethernet host interface adapter indicators

Each Ethernet port has two green LED indicators. The link speed LED (2) is on the left and the activity LED (3) is on the right.
