If you want to use physical volume links (PVLinks) for multipathing a volume while the IBM System Storage® Multipath Subsystem Device Driver (SDD) is installed, you must ensure that SDD does not configure a vpath for that volume.
To do this, add the serial number of any volumes that you want SDD to ignore to the /etc/vpathmanualexcl.cfg file.
