Switch zoning has limitations for the system and the HDS Thunder, Hitachi AMS 200, AMS 500, and AMS 1000, WMS100, or HDS TagmaStore WMS systems.
The HDS Thunder, Hitachi AMS 200, AMS 500, and AMS 1000, WMS100, or HDS TagmaStore WMS systems present themselves to the system as separate storage systems for each port zoned to the system. For example, if one of these storage systems has four ports that are zoned to the system, each port appears as a separate storage system rather than as one storage system with four WWPNs. In addition, a given logical unit (LU) must be mapped to the system through all storage system ports that are zoned to the system that uses the same logical unit number (LUN).
