If a source IP address is in use for backend controller connectivity, changing the IP address, mask, or gateway causes the existing sessions to be removed and new sessions to be established. During this phase, the mdisks that are visible though the source port that is being reconfigured go into a degraded state until the new sessions are established.
If you did not intend to reconfigure, reenter the command with the correct parameters. If you do want to reconfigure, an administrator can use the management GUI or the cfgportip command with the -force flag to go ahead with the reconfiguration.
