Add a control enclosure to an existing system.

To complete this step, you must use a supported web browser. Verify that you are using a supported web browser from the following website:

To add another control enclosure into an existing system, complete the following steps:

  1. Configure the Fibre Channel switch to allow for correct zoning between the control enclosures.

    The correct zoning provides a way for the Fibre Channel ports to connect to each other.

    If the configuration tool for the Fibre Channel switch does not provide details of the worldwide port names (WWPNs), use the service assistant to find them or use the USB flash drive to find the status of the node. See the "Troubleshooting" topic that is available from the Lenovo Storage V series Information Center.

  2. Start the management GUI.
  3. Go to Monitoring > System.
  4. On the System page, select Actions > Add Enclosures.
  5. Continue to follow the on-screen instructions.

This step completes the quick installation procedures.
