There are limitations in switch zoning for Lenovo Storage V series clustered systems and IBM® XIV® Storage System systems.
To avoid a single point of failure, the Lenovo Storage V series switch zone must include at least one target port from each IBM® XIV® Storage System controller.
Target ports can be shared between the Lenovo Storage V series system and other hosts.
To avoid the possibility of an interaction between multipathing drivers, a single host cannot be connected to both the Lenovo Storage V series system and the IBM® XIV® Storage System system.
IBM® XIV® Storage System system LUNs that are mapped to the Lenovo Storage V series system cannot be mapped to other hosts. IBM® XIV® Storage System system LUNs that are not mapped to the Lenovo Storage V series system can be mapped to other hosts.
