Installing a 2.5-inch advanced operation panel assembly kit

Use this information to install a 2.5-inch advanced operation panel assembly kit.

1. Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables, if necessary.
3. Remove the top cover (see Removing the top cover).
4. Remove the screw that secures the front control panel assembly to the chassis. Then carefully push the front control panel assembly out of the server and set it aside.

5. Install the 2.5-inch advanced operation panel assembly. See Replacing the media cage (also called lightpath LCD operation panel assembly).
6. Install the top cover (see Replacing the top cover).
7. Slide the server into the rack.
8. Reconnect the power cords and any cables that you removed.
9. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.
